[Nyrie 00:00]: Hi there! I’m Nyrie Roos from LeadsXplosion and a very warm welcome. Today we are joined by a well known coaching and consultant and bankable events CEO, Anza Goodbar. Anza has an amazing offer for you. So, stay tunned. Anza helps small business sign on a scale by leveraging their expertise to his love events and develop a six figure growth strategy. Anza has brought with clients from botique brands to fortune 100 corporations to implement these monetization strategies into their events to generate revenue, increase value for every participant and build brand loyalty. So tell me Anza, what do you like to do in your spare time?

[Anza 00:51]: Algorithm dancing.

[Nyrie 00:54]: Oh wow! [laughs] That’s incredible.

[Anza 00:59]: It’s an… it’s an uncommon- [laughs]

[Nyrie 01:02]: Yeah… yeah I’d… I’d imagine what would it be these days, but what a beautiful thing to do.

[Anza 01:10]: Yes, super fun.

[Nyrie 01:13]: I’m sure. They are. How often do you do that?

[Anza 01:15]: [uhm] Not as much as I used to. [uhm] Since COVID came in I’d… I’d only dance about once a week now but [uhm] prior to COVID, I was a competitive dancer. So, I danced five or six days a week and I traveled to [uhm] dance competitions. So, it’s a lot of fun.

[Nyrie 01:36]: I’m sure it was. [laughs] I’m sure it was and a great way to break up [laughs] [uhm] from being at work and [uhm] to be able to do that something that you love as well.

[Anza 01:48]: Fun and creative and a great exercise.

[Nyrie 01:51]: Yeah. That’s so true. Okay. So, what I’ve got for you today is I’ve got 7 questions in total. So, starting with question number 1. Can you tell me who is your ideal client?

[Anza 02:14]: Sure. Well, my ideal client is a service provider like a coach consultant speaker or author who is looking to leverage their expertise to build their business and so, anybody who has a product that’s a service or physical product [uhm] that wants to be able to stand up above their competition would be an ideal person for us to work with.

[Nyrie 02:35]: Okay great! So, that’s anyone with that’s really wanting more visibility.

[Anza 02:40]: Yes.

[Nyrie 02:43]: Okay. Fantastic! So, our listeners really enjoy hearing that one so [umn] that I will be in contact with you. [laughs] So that you can help them [uhmn] increase their visibility. Okay. So, question number 2. What is the problem that you solve?

[Anza 03:02]: Well, simply put, how to put buttoned seats. When you’re hosting life events, people don’t know how to get people to actually show up for the event and so, we look at the whole strategy of their business not just the event, but how can we get the right people there so when they make their offers from this page, those people are ready to buy from them, and so, many of my clients will say “I have a VA. I have a medium planner. I host events but I don’t make money” and so, we help provide the strategy to show them where they’re leading money on the table, where they’re spending too much money and not getting an ROI and they put together a 3 year plan to help them create a million dollar event.

[Nyrie 03:58}: That’s a wonderful service to be offering because getting bamzoned seats and actually getting them  to show up can be a real issue despite everything you can do. So, what you’re doing can really make a difference I’m sure.

[Anza 04:14]: [uh-hmn] It’s a game changer for some business owners. For sure.

[Nyrie 04:17]: Yeah. For sure. Okay. So, question number 3. What are the typical symptoms people experience with that problem?

[Anza 04:26]: Overwhelmed. They don’t know what they don’t know and so, they feel like they’re floundering. They often feel like they have and imposter syndrome. [uhm] Many of them think, “Oh, if I’m going to have a high level, high dollar producing event. I need to have a big name key note speaker. Nobody will come to just listen to me and what I have to say” and so, we do a lot of work about talking about what does it mean to position yourself as the go to expert? [uhm] Because in my experience, hiring a big name key note doesn’t usually bring more attendees to your event and the reason for that is because that key note speaker doesn’t advertise for you. Their name is great. They might be of interest to people, but if that person isn’t advertising to their tribe. You’re not bringing additional people in to the… in to the event, because those are just for people are not already on your existing tribe and so, you wanted to do everything that you can do to be appealing to the tribe that you are in front of to bring them to you.

[Nyrie 05:46]: That’s very interesting to hear because you’d automatically presume that having that big name key note there would make a lot of difference, but from what you’re saying. It does’nt. So, it’s something that really is a bit of a myth, isn’t it?

[Anza 06:04]: It is a myth. There’s a lot of myth busters out there. [You know] a lot of people also think I can only charge $49 for a seat and you know you’ll really need to look at the value that you’re providing to your attendees and let that drive what your pricing structure is. That don’t fall into the trap of believing that you’re not enough, because you’re more than enough to provide value and education and inspiration and motivation to your tribe. To get them to take the action that they need to make good on the big promise that you’ve given from stage.

[Nyrie 06:40]: That’s great advice. Thank you for that, Anza. Okay. So, on the question number 4. What are the common mistakes people make when trying to solve that problem and you’ve somehow touched on the answer on this already.

[Anza 06:56]: I did. You know, I think that one of the biggest problems that I see people fall into is, they try to follow a cookie cutter solution and in my business, we do everything custom. We find that rarely if ever there’s a cookie cutter solution fit to give you the results that you specifically are looking for in your business, and so, our advice is take that cookie cutter recipe and customize it to what you’re clients want. To how you work to the result that you are looking to deliver. [uhm] So, the people get to transformation that you were working so hard to achieve with them through hosting  your event.

[Nyrie 07:45]: Okay. Great! Thank you for that. Alright, question number 5. What is one valuable free action that the audience and listeners can implement, that will help them solve that problem with their events?

[Anza 08:03]: Don’t try to do it yourself. [yeah] [laughs] Reach out and you know, join… join my facebook group for we talk about how to host events. Get your questions answered. You know, hire a coach. Hire an event planner or medium planner. Don’t try to just figure it out on your own because if you do, you’re going to loose money. You need someone who is a professional, who understands how to craft a message. How to design and organized an event. How to help you choose the right facility that will go with the flow that you’re trying to create. So, reach out and ask for support in this instance.

[Nyrie 08:47]: Okay. Great and for our listeners we’ll have the links below. [uh] Below the podcast for Anza’s facebook groups and any other resources that she may like to point you to as well. So, be sure to have a look and have a read and so you can access those. So, question number 6 Anza is: What is the one valuable free resource that you can direct people to that is guaranteed to help them even more?

[Anza 09:17]: [Hmm] So, one of the resources that we recently created for people is a sponsorship pitch deck, [uhm] because you can offset some of your event cost by bringing sponsors into the mix and most people don’t know how to create a [uhm] a pitch deck that converts potential sponsors into paying sponsors. So, we put together a pitch deck to share with people to walk them through the different steps of being need to put together a professional pitch for potentials sponsors. Boy that was a tongue twister [jokingly said] [laughs]

[Nyrie 10:00]: Okay. Great and where will [uhm] our listeners get that source from?

[Anza 10:04]: [Uhm] I’ll share the link with you, but they can get it on my website to the bankable events tab. There is the sponsorship pitch deck right there that they can just go in there and download.

[Nyrie 10:15]: Awesome. Thank you very much. That’s very kind of you to share that with us and question number 7. My final question is, what is the one question I should’ve asked you but I didn’t?

[Anza 10:29]: Oh! I suppose, why should people use live advanced to grow their business, and the answer to that would be, it puts you in an expert status. Many people write books and people don’t look all over that and think “oh man, I could never do that” that when you host your own event people will look at you differently it elevates your level of expertise in their eyes and it sets you apart from your competition.

[Nyrie 11:08]: Great advice and that makes complete sense. So, Anza Goodbar, thank you so much for your time today.  [Anza 11:17]: Thank you so much, Nyrie.
